Our neighbor to the north, Missouri, is home to a popular vacation destination for many Arkansans: Silver Dollar City in Branson. We have created many awesome memories in the summer at this amusement park riding on roller coasters, swaying on giant swings and getting soaked on water rides. However, the Christmas season is also an excellent time to visit, no matter if they are young….
My kids love the roller coasters, and they were lucky enough to discover almost nonexistent lines when we visited two weeks ago. They flipped, zipped and soared to their hearts’ content!
I was very happy to merely stroll around…
..savoring the lovely decorations throughout the park. The meticulous attention to detail certainly did not go unnoticed!
Silver Dollar City is open most days through December 30th. Tickets can be a little pricey, but there are certain discounts available such as Price Cutter $40 Thursdays and paid admissions after 7:00 p.m. will be admitted free the next day.
Season pass holders, like us, should certainly take the time to come see the holiday transformation, which includes not only the lights and decorations, but also the shows, music and food. It’s another wonderful way to celebrate Christmas!
