As I have gotten older
I’ve learned the value
Of slowing down
And sometimes
Even stopping
In the past
Oddities would be
A mere blur
In the rear view mirror
Realizing now
That much has been missed
Such as
Posing with two unlikely characters
In the mountains of Colorado….
Or wandering around an old downtown area
Seizing the opportunity
To support a local restaurant
The reward
The best salmon that has ever
Graced these lips!
Getting “there”
Has now
Taken on
A whole new meaning!
