When researching for our trip to the Grand Tetons, it seemed that, when it came to lodging, we had a choice between two locations: Jackson, Wyoming and Teton Village. We chose Teton Village, and therefore, were within walking distance to the summer activities at the base and on Rendezvous Mountain.
There are many hiking trails on Rendezvous Mountain, and folks can ascend to its peak via the seven mile Summit Trail. However, because there is so much to see in this area, and our time was limited, we opted to “cheat” by taking the Jackson Hole Aerial Tram.
This summer, the Jackson Hole Resort had a family special: a family of five could ride the various lifts all day for the online price of $85. We decided that was a pretty good deal, and would be a fun way to take in the amazing views of the mountains of Wyoming.
We were certainly not disappointed…
……as the tram made the twelve minute climb….
..up 4,139 vertical feet….
…accompanied by an interesting narration from the guide.
It was an awesome way to begin our Grand Teton adventure!
