Yellowstone’s Upper Falls

Many believe that Yellowstone’s Upper Falls pales in comparison to its neighbor, Lower Falls.

I have to disagree.

For this seasonal waterfall chaser, and waterfall season is very brief in Arkansas, it’s absolutely delightful to take in this breathtaking view, and to hear the roar of the water, any time of the year!

Both the Upper and Lower Falls can be viewed from several vantage points by following the South Rim Trail Loop.  We stopped at almost every pull-off and parking area provided because the views were so varied and amazing!

Upper Falls

Part of the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, both the Upper and Lower Falls are fed by the waters of the Yellowstone River, another stunning sight in America’s First National Park. In spite of the fact that Yellowstone has very few waterfalls, we seemed to fill up most of the morning enjoying scenes like these!

What a great way to pass the time!
