Redstone, Colorado

Redstone, Colorado, established in the late 1890’s,  has stood the test of time, weathered the highs and lows, and, most importantly, has appreciated the importance of preserving the past.

Restone Museum, constructed in 1899

It’s a place that visitors go to step back in time for just a moment or two.

The restored buildings are colorful and inviting.  The quiet, peaceful atmosphere is contagious.  Both pedestrians and cars seemed to mosey by at a much slower pace.

The general store is fully stocked with food items, goodies, souvenirs, and hand dipped ice cream!

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it is located on Colorado Highway 133 about 20 miles south of Carbondale.  It’s a fantastic stop on a very scenic drive!
