RussVegas Half Marathon

This weekend, Russellville Downtown will be abuzz with runners!  It’s time for the fourth annual RussVegas Half Marathon, organized by the Russvegas Foot Race Foundation to benefit Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

This is a wonderful event no matter if  you are a runner….

…or a spectator cheering them to the finish!

The event started as merely a road race, but has since grown into a festival, complete with a 5k Glow Run on Friday night, live entertainment, vendor booths and food trucks!  With over 400 5k runners and more than 1,400 half marathoners, Russellville Downtown will definitely be lively!

Each participant will receive fantastic “bling”, a showy medal that can be worn with pride!

However, the real winners in this race are the patients at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.  In fact, in 2016, the Foundation raised $50,000!

The regular registration for the event has closed; however, one can register as an ACH Angel and still participate in the race.  ACH Angels pledge to raise at least $150 in donations for the hospital, and, in return, are allowed to run the Russvegas Half Marathon for free!

Gallery B will be open on both Friday night and Saturday.  Weather permitting, we will host another 5/5/5 alley photo event starting at 7:00 p.m. on Friday night, with the 5×7 pictures available on Saturday!

Earlier this week, there was rain in the forecast for Saturday; however, it appears that Mother Nature has decided to be cooperative with a start time temp of 56° under cloudy skies!  So come join the festivities, cheer on the runners, and help support Arkansas Children’s Hospital at the RussVegas Half Marathon!
