It’s been cold in Arkansas.
Like I’m not stepping a toe outside cold. Like literally our world has stopped cold. Like it hasn’t been this cold since 1899, according to a Tweet from the National Weather Service.
So for an outdoor exerciser, this can pose a problem. Luckily, I have been recently introduced to the Peleton app, a tool that provides infinite options for indoor movement, which include cardio, strength and flexibility. Since I am no spring chicken, improving strength and flexibility have been goals of mine, goals that I have been less than faithful to, that is, until now, when frigid temps force a change.
And change is a good thing.
One of my favorite things about Peleton is the commitment to positivity. Coaches not only stress the importance of physical cues, but they also address mental and emotional cues. Today, after a grueling forty five minute full body workout, Coach Matty Maggiacomo told us that, “You’re never fully dressed without a smile!”
Being in the photography business, this little ditty stayed with me, so much so, that, for some reason, I decided to Google it. It is a song from the Broadway Play “Annie”. In 2014, a new movie version of the play was released, along with a remake of the song. The upbeat video can be seen here.
In spite of the insufferable conditions outside, I have found myself graced with delightful favor, which, in turn, has both warmed my heart and kept me “Fully Dressed”!
