Window Shopping Eureka Style!

About fifteen years ago or so, I was introduced to the idea of love languages. In his book, The Five Love Languages: How to Express Heartfelt Commitment to Your Mate, Gary Chapman breaks the expression of love into five distinct components: Gifts, Words of Affirmation, Physical Touch, Quality Time and Acts of Service. The terms are fairly self explanatory, and, after carefully pondering each chapter, I determined that, hands down, my love language is Quality Time.

Watch a tv program or sit outside on the porch with me, and I’ll be your buddyroe for life. Take me on a road trip, and I’m putty in your hands.

We had been blessed with a super busy fall and holiday photo season in 2019. Wanting to express his appreciation for my support, (Kurt’s love language falls more inline with Acts of Service), my husband decided to appeal to my “putty side”, planning a weekend getaway to Eureka Springs in January 2020.

Although many of the shops are closed during the winter months, this little town of less than 2,000 residents still provides visitors with numerous enjoyable activities. One of our favorites is window shopping.

Window shopping in Eureka is nothing but a unique experience; the world is literally your oyster!

Tiny, imaginary friends greet passersby.

Mouthwatering exhibits tempt empty stomachs.

Eureka Springs embraces both individuality and creativity. For this reason, visitors will always enjoy a one of a kind experience!
