Scenes From Flagstaff

In 2012, en route to the Grand Canyon, we stopped in Flagstaff, spending the better part of the evening exploring downtown. The town was lively and fun. In fact, I became friendly with a rather colorful character.

Perhaps it was just me, a little on edge from pretty much being in lockdown for the better part of the last year, but things seemed a little more subdued in 2021. I mean, it’s difficult to transition from isolation accompanied with unfavorable statistics and troubling divisiveness, to lighthearted, unfettered community. It had been more than a year since community had even been practiced.

But community is a craving even more powerful than chocolate.

So with mask covered faces, and hearts full of hope, we, along with our fellow Flagstaff visitors, commenced training!
